Effect Permanently raises the Resilience of a single party member.

Super seeds of defence are ultra-nutritious items that can grant characters that eat them a particularly powerful boost to their Resilience, double that of the more common seeds of defence. The super seeds debuted in the Nintendo 3DS remake of Dragon Quest VII released in 2013, and have since spread throughout the series.

Appearances[edit]

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit]

Super seeds of defence increase a character's resilience by 6~8 points. They can be obtained as the first-clear rewards in the Lizard's Lair DLC Tablet along with the Heavy Metal Hole Traveller's Tablet. They can also be harvested from the wolfram wartoise and diamond mannequin DLC monsters at a 1/256 rate.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit]

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition[edit]

Super seeds of defence increase a character's by 20 points when used. There are only eight in the game, given to the player as the default reward upon completing the secret trial of the Wheel of Harma in any amount of turns.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3[edit]

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince[edit]

Super seeds of defence increase a monster's defence by 10 points but will not break the hard limit imposed by the monster's species; this can only be done through careful application of the growth inheritance aspect of monster synthesis. Super seeds of defence are given out as possible rewards for completing Fizzy's quickfire online battles in Rosehill Tower, and can be left behind by monsters dismissed from the Monster Paddock.
