Necrogond Wave

Necrogond Wave is a recurring ability in the Dragon Quest series. It is one of Baramos's signature abilities in which he sends out a damaging shockwave from his body. It is named after the location of Baramos' Lair in Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation.

Dragon Quest X[edit]

Necrogond Wave makes its debut as a special attack used by Baramos. He will charge for a few seconds, then leap into the air, inflicting between 1500~1600 damage to any characters caught nearby when he lands. It can be avoided by jumping when Baramos lands or by running far enough away from the area of effect. Starting with Version 2.4, the damage was changed to inflict 99% of the character's remaining HP instead.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Super Light[edit]

Necrogond Wave can be learned by Baramos at level 23 and costs 41 MP to use. It inflicts 75% strength physical damage and has a chance to inflict confusion to all enemies.

Dragon Quest Tact[edit]

Necrogond Wave is known naturally by Baramos at level 1 and costs 26 MP to use. It has a range of two squares in front of him, inflicts 175% potency physical damage and is rarely able to inflict confusion on all enemies in the area of effect.
