Material Whirl is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in the Monsters: Joker series of games. It deals heavy damage to monsters of the Material family.

Material Whirl costs 2 MP and use and deals 35% extra damage to members of the Material family. It can be learned from:
- Aquarion (20 points)
- Materialist (61 points)
- Wormonger (26 points)
Dragon Quest Tact[edit]
Material Whirl can be learned by Gigantes at level 22 and costs 17 MP to use. It inflicts 270% potency physical damage to Inorganic family monsters and 135% potency physical damage to all other families. It can also be taught to any unit by using an ability scroll.
