Cherry Blossom Blizzard is a skill that appears exclusively in Dragon Quest Tact. It is one of Purrcival's signature abilities, slicing a group of nearby enemies with his claws and blinding them with a flurry of cherry blossom petals.

Cherry Blossom Blizzard can be learned by Purrcival at level 44 and costs 35 MP to use. It inflicts 175% potency physical damage to all enemies in a radius of 1 around him and has a chance of enveloping them in illusions.

Etymology[edit]
Cherry Blossom Blizzard's Japanese name Sakura fubuki (桜吹雪) is a term used to describe the gentle drifting of cherry blossom petals falling to the ground in the wind, which has the appearance of snowflakes during a blizzard. It is a regular part of hanami, the custom of flower viewing during springtime in Japan. Cherry blossoms, or sakura, were often likened to samurai during the medieval Japanese period due to the beautiful, but fleeting nature of their existence.
