Astronomers in Dragon Quest of the Stars

The Astronomer (天文学者 Tenmongakusha) is an specialist vocation in Dragon Quest of the Stars, which is unlocked by having a character level up to at least level 50 in both the Priest and Ranger vocation.

It was introduced in the global version of the game during the 1st anniversary of the game, shortly before the end of service.

Description[edit]

Astronomers are a supportive class, being able to cast Snub in order to give a spell-nullifying shield to an ally, and using the star guidance to slightly heal all allies, damage enemies or debuff them.

Dragon Quest of the Stars[edit]

Their preferred weapons are staves, spears, rods, whips, boomerangs, and bows.

Despite they late inclusion in the game, they provide valuable support to the party with their vocational skill Snub, which can nullify spells for 1 party member.

Their Wish Upon a Star passive skill can revive an ally with 100 HP automatically when the ally dies, but it only has a slim 5% chance of triggering. It's not very reliable, but it's a very useful passive when it does activate.

Star Guidance, the other active vocational skill, allows players to choose between three guidances: Sun -slight heal for all the party-, Moon -has a chance of debuffing all enemies-, or Stars -deals minor damage to all enemies-.

Their level DQotS Rev3.png1 passive skill, Astronomer's Bright Idea, has a 10% chance of turning any single target supportive spell into a full party supportive spell.

When leveling up, Astronomers get the following skills, perks and bonuses:
