The faded blade is found in the depths of the Dragonlord's Castle as in the original version of the game. It can be restored to its proper splendor by the distant descendant of the Jipangese swordsmith living in Kol, though he will need an ingot of orichalcum to accomplish the job. This mythical metal can be found in the depths of the Craggy Cave, hidden away by Robbin' 'Ood's Descendant a century ago. Note that the Scions of Erdrick must first be informed of the metal's existence before it will appear in the cave.
