The Hardy hide is a recurring item in the Dragon Quest series. It is sturdy segment of leather taken from a monster of the Beast family that is used as a crafting ingredient.

Appearances[edit]

Dragon Quest X[edit]

Hardy hides are used as an ingredient for crafting weapons and pieces of armor, particularly leatherworking. It can be purchased from a material store for 120 gold or dropped by various monsters, including Ham shamwitches, Orcs, Rhinothropes, and Robber rabbits.

Dragon Quest XI[edit]

Hardy hides can be purchased from the roving emporiums at the Emerald Coast and the Hotto Steppe for 100 gold or received from a sparkly spot in the Kingsbarrow. It can be sold for 25 gold. One can be found in pot in the Heliodorian Foothills, one in Hotto, and another in a wardrobe in Gallopolis. The hide has a 18 chance of being dropped by Robber rabbits, a 116 chance of being dropped by Sham hatwitches, a 132 chance of being dropped by Platypunks and Great sabrecubs, and a 164 chance of being dropped by Hammerhoods.

Dragon Quest of the Stars[edit]

The hardy hide is a 1★ material that can be dropped by Bewarewolves. It is used to make Bunny tails.
