Akira Toriyama (鳥山 明, born April 5, 1955; died March 1, 2024[1]) was the main character and monster designer of the Dragon Quest series. He was otherwise known for the manga series Dr. Slump and Dragon Ball as well as his distinctive art style. He was also one of the main creative forces behind the RPG Chrono Trigger.
